Job Description

GHR Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join a beautiful continuing care retirement community in Delaware County. This is an immediate opportunity to step into a leadership role where you will play a key part in guiding the nursing team and ensuring high-quality care for residents.

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the clinical care and services in the skilled nursing center in accordance with federal, state, and local standards
  • Assist DON with overall management of the department; hold team accountable, correct actions when necessary, and document any corrective action
  • Contribute to maintaining the skilled nursing budget and liaise with pharmacy to ensure effective services for the residents
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and support staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in resident’s charts in addition to performing audits

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Job Qualifications:

  • Active PA Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • At least 1 year of experience as an ADON in a CCRC
  • Prior supervisory and nurse management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, discipline, and counseling/training
  • Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
  • Must have a working knowledge of federal, state/provincial, and local long term care regulations
  • Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
